Business and industry caterer Lexington is aiming to achieve £10m turnover for the first time in 2008, boosted by a slew of new contract wins.

It has signed up five new clients in the past four months netting annual turnover of £3.5m, and bringing it to 22 clients and annual turnover of £7m

The caterer has signed a deal to provide catering, hospitality and event services at international property agents Knight Frank, who will  be moving into new flagship headquarters in London’s Baker Street next in March.

Next month it will begin providing services for Kaupthing Bank’s satellite office in Dorking, Surrey, and at two sites for international mining company Rio Tinto in central London.

Lexington also began catering at financial services company Blue Lizard at the start of October in London’s Camden Lock.

The contracts are all three years in duration.

Mike Sunley, Lexington managing director, said: “We are delighted with our progress this year in addition to the excellent sales activity led by our new sales and marketing director Julia Edmonds.”

• Last week the company held its inaugural Lexington Chef competition at London’s Westminster Kingsway College. Judges Paul Gaylor of the Lanesborough, Peter Gordon of Providores and Andrew Bennett of the Sheraton Park Lane hotel chose Danny Leung, head chef at Kaupthing Bank, as the inaugural winner. Leung wins a culinary trip to Italy.
