Century private members club opens brasserie to public

Private members club Century in London's Shaftesbury Avenue is to open its doors to the public for the first time as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

The club's founders, Pierre and Kathy Condou, have given the club a full refurbishment and redesign as part of the celebrations.

Integral to the refurbishment is the new Century Brasserie. Head chef Graham Thompson has created a classic brasserie-style menu based on simply prepared organic and GM-free ingredients suitable for casual lunches or for more intimate dinners. Signature dishes will feature succulent grills of fish, fowl and rare-breed meats from the wood-burning oven.

Pierre Condou said: "Soho continues to be a fantastic and flourishing dining destination. Among all the frenetic bustle, I am pleased to extend the opportunity for diners to experience Graham's gutsy brasserie menu, in the calm haven of Century, overlooking the leafy green of St Ann's Church."

The Century Brasserie is accessed via a discreet doorway on London's Shaftesbury Avenue. It opened on Monday 4 April. The Century Club's upper floors will remain strictly for members only.
