Apetito withdraws from education market

Friday 05 June 2009 16:15

Apetito has announced the withdrawal of its range of meals for primary schools. The Trowbridge-based supplier of prepared meals and desserts to the cost sector will now concentrate on its business in the healthcare, care homes and meals on wheels markets.

Ian Stone, business development director told Caterer: "Following a thorough review of its education division over the last few months Apetito has concluded that the current approach no longer allows a viable, long term opportunity.  It will be withdrawing its education specific products from the marketplace and will focus on growing its other divisions.”
