M&B hires executive chef to develop Asian food offering

Mitchells & Butlers has hired Adrian McCormack, the former executive chef at Tampopo to help develop its Asian food offering.

M&B had shown interest in buying Tampopo which currently has six sites in the UK in Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Reading. But the company is thought to have decided to develop its own Asian brand instead.

McCormack left Tampopo in 2009 and the company replaced the role of executive chef with an area chef.
