Scotland AA Hospitality Award winners officially revealed

The AA has today officially revealed the winners of its Scotland Hospitality Awards, as reported exclusively in Caterer last month.

The Marcliffe at Pitfodels near Aberdeen has been named as this year’s AA Scottish Hotel of the Year at an awards ceremony today at Edinburgh’s Balmoral hotel.

Tigh Na Leigh guesthouse in Alyth, Perthshire, picked up Scottish Guest Accommodation of the Year, and Moulin hotel in Pitlochry won the Scottish Pub of the Year title.

The AA’s wine award went to the Seafood Restaurant in St Andrews, Fife.

Andrew Fairlie, Gleneagles's two-Michelin-starred chef, was named Chef's Chef of the Year in this year's AA Hospitality Awards.

Earlier in the week (3 October) the Welsh Restaurant of the Year was revealed as the Drawing Room in Builth Wells, Powys, which was set up less than two years ago.

Cardiff’s Park Plaza celebrated Welsh Hotel of the Year status, while Brigands Inn, Mallwyd scooped the Best Pub of the Year title and Tyddyn Llan, Clwyd, was accorded the AA Wine Award for Wales.
