Eating at the Riverford Field Kitchen, set in a Devon field, is a much more rustic affair, writes Susy Atkins in the Sunday Telegraph. But once he tucks into the menu - dominated by an impressive selections of meats - Rayner is won over.
Finally, AA Gill says L'Art du Fromage in London SW10 is a "real ripe find". The room is simple and small with 65 different French cheeses on display in a chiller cabinet. Here he enjoys "an authentic French menu of the type you remember from your childhood, with some amazing cheese".
