The pod squad

Thursday 30 October 2003 16:39

Cafédirect has introduced what it claims to be the first Fairtrade espresso coffee pods for food service. Using coffee pods means getting exactly the right amount of coffee per cup, making less mess and spending less time grinding and dosing. The pods also mean operators can switch more easily between Fairtrade and organic coffees and their normal offer. Coffee in the pods is made from 75% Arabica and 25% Robusta beans and bought directly from farmers who are given a fair price for their produce. The coffee is available in 7g single and 14g double pods.

PRICES: 7g pods, 16p each; 14g pods, 20p each

AVAILABLE FROM: Cafédirect
