Boutique hotel group Abode Hotels has acquired a site in Salisbury’s city centre in order to develop a new hotel.
The project will include the restoration of a historic Georgian element as well as a new build development, which will create a hotel of a similar size to Abode’s 53-bedroom Exeter hotel.
The Abode Salisbury will include a Michael Caines Champagne Bar and Restaurant as well as suites with views of Salisbury Cathedral.
The expected launch of Abode Salisbury is after that of ABode Chester, which is set to open its doors in Autumn 2009.
The hotel group, which was founded by chef Michael Caines and Andew Brownsword, currently has five hotels in Exeter, Glasgow, Canterbury, Manchester and Chester.
