Hakkasan Group reveals details of new Chinese restaurant HKK
Michelin-starred restaurant group Hakkasan has revealed details of its forthcoming restaurant HKK, which will open in the City of London next month.
The launch of the new restaurant follows on from Hakkasan's most recent opening Chrysan, a collaboration with Japan's three-Michelin-starred chef Yoshihiro Murata, which HKK will be located next to.
Serving a tasting menu only, HKK will offer modern Cantonese dishes created by Hakkasan's long-standing executive chef Tong Chee Hwee. Options will include an eight-course tasting menu at lunchtime (£48) and a 15-course tasting menu at dinner (£95) and a vegetarian menu will also be available.
Typical dishes will include four treasures vegetables wrapped with Iberico ham; lychee wood-roasted Peking duck served with sesame pancakes; wok-fried lobster in yellow bean sauce with braised pan mee; deep-fried fillet of monkfish with goji berries with champagne and rice wine sauce; and Jasmine tea-smoked Wagyu beef.
Interiors at HKK have been developed by Hakkasan's in-house design team featuring an open kitchen with a custom-made glass wood-fired oven facing the 48-seat dining room. There will also be a private room seating up to 10 diners.
HKK will open on 5 December and reservations can be made by calling 020 3535 1888.
