Hotelier and former Alnwick Rugby Club player Bernard Bloodworth has been appointed general manager of Matfen Hall Hotel in the Tyne Valley. He joins the hotel from AA five-red star Seaham Hall & the Serenity Spa, where he was general manager. In his new role, Bloodworth will be responsible for overseeing the entire hotel operation at Matfen Hall.
