Simply Not Fried Pollock Fillet Topped with Italian Tomato Sauce

The success of Crown Foods' MSC Simply Not Fried Salmon and Sweet Potato Fishcake among school children has prompted the group to follow up with another sweet-flavoured product designed to encourage pupils to enjoy eating Omega 3-rich oily fish.

Its Simply Not Fried Pollock Fillet Topped with Italian Tomato Sauce tops wild Alaskan Pollock fillets with a layer of tomato sauce, then coats them with Crown's signature Not Fried crumb coating. The 60g fillets were launched in December but earlier trials found a similar approval rating of 4.5/5 among schoolkids as that of the fish cakes, which have become one of the bestselling products in Crown's history since their launch in July.

Crown was named Outstanding Supplier of the Year by the Local Authority Caterers Association.
