Woolverton House hotel

The family-run Woolverton House hotel near Bath has been put on the market for £1.65m.

The boutique hotel in Woolverton, which was built as a rectory in the 19th century, occupies a 2.4 acre site with views of the Wiltshire and Somerset countryside.

It lies between the two major tourist attractions of Bath - which is just nine miles away - and Longleat, which has proved a major draw since the TV series began.

Facilities include 15 individually-styled, en-suite bedrooms; a 42-seat restaurant; a drawing room; a conservatory and bar; and parking for more than 50 cars.

There is also a three-bedroom owners' cottage which has been recently converted from a former coach house.

The hotel has been owned and operated by the House family for the past three years and has a good trading split of weekday business customers and weekend tourists.

The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry, which has been instructed to market the hotel, said the business has been making a profit of £184,943 from a net turnover of £354,938.
