Anglia Court hotel

A Victorian hotel in a prominent location on the Cromer seafront in Norfolk has been sold to local developers.

Glen Bishop and Tim Coates bought the four-storey Anglia Court hotel off an asking price of £550,000.

The property on the main Runton Road overlooks the sea, the esplanade and the pier and is a short walk from Cromer city centre.

It has 30 bedrooms spread over the top three floors, most with a view of the sea.

The hotel attracts local, commercial and leisure guests and has a good trade mix of bar food and accommodation.

It incorporates a 35-seat lounge bar, a 30-seat residents’ lounge, a 20-seat restaurant, a 60-seat function and breakfast room, and a 20-seat patio at the front.

The basement contains a two-bedroom owners’ accommodation with a lounge and shower room.

The Ipswich office Christie + Co sold the hotel on behalf of Alphonsus Tan, who bought the hotel through the property agent in 2001.
