Group lines up third Bombay Bicycle Club

Tuesday 23 November 2004 17:19
Clapham House Group has exchanged contracts for its third Bombay Bicycle Club restaurant in London. The group, set up last year by two former PizzaExpress directors, is buying the former Nimmo restaurant in Holland Park that was part of the Ask/TDR stable.

It will reopen early next year as a 70-seat Bombay Bicycle Club, following the launch of its second restaurant in Hampstead next week. The group has also exchanged contracts on a home-delivery unit in Islington, and is close to clinching a similar unit in Hammersmith.

Director Paul Campbell said the group was also searching for sites in South-west London and the West End to add three or four new Real Greek restaurants in 2005, doubling the size of the chain. This summer, it opened a 220-seat venue next to the Globe Theatre on London's South Bank.

A third restaurant brand - expected to be a noodle bar - is likely to be announced before Christmas.
