JD Wetherspoon pubs across Wales are now serving a range of Welsh-produced food and drink.

Most of the drinks on offer come from the Welsh Whisky Company, based in Penderyn, South Wales.

There's Penderyn single malt whisky, produced in the only distillery in Wales, as well as Brecon Vodka and Brecon Gin, both made with Brecon water.

Cream liqueur Merlyn and Toffoc, a toffee-flavoured vodka from Toffoc in Anglesey, North Wales, are also on sale.

On the food side, customers can enjoy Welsh faggots, Welsh chicken curry and Welsh black beef curry. There is also Cawl, a traditional Welsh dish containing lamb, potatoes and vegetables in a stock.

All of the drinks and meals are displayed on a special menu, which is printed in English and Welsh. The initiative has backing from by the Welsh Development Agency (WDA).

WDA agri-food director Arwyn Davies said: "We are delighted that Wetherspoon's in Wales is sourcing local produce."
