Supplier News: Lincat add Electric Salamander Grill to Opus series

Wednesday 06 June 2007 00:00

To meet rising demand for electric alternatives to gas powered equipment, Lincat has added a new Electric Salamander Grill (model OE7304) to its Opus 700 range of heavy duty prime cooking equipment. The new model combines powerful, highly efficient performance with robust, durable construction. It is attractively styled for front or back-of-house use and priced at £951.

"Current safety legislation requires that gas products be positioned under powered extraction fitted with an interlock, which automatically cuts the gas supply in the event of a power failure", said Nick McDonald, Marketing and Export Director of Lincat Ltd. “These regulations can add significantly to the cost of installation, resulting in rising demand, from establishments of all sizes, for electric powered alternatives.”

The new OE7304 is equipped with powerful grilling elements to deliver fast heat up from cold. Other practical features include a heavy duty, reversible cast aluminium branding plate which absorbs heat quickly, holds heat efficiently and gives an attractive, branded appearance to food. The specification includes a chrome-plated wire grill support which doubles as a toasting rack.

Lincat’s comprehensive Opus 700 heavy duty range of prime cooking equipment is perfect for high pressure environments, and has proved itself capable of performing in the busiest of kitchens. Having successfully undergone rigorous product trials, Opus 700 equipment is being selected by national pub and retail chains for use throughout their estates. Each piece of Opus 700 equipment benefits from a comprehensive two-year warranty and this is backed up by a nationwide network of service engineers.

Lincat Ltd is part of the Lincat Group of companies. Sister companies IMC Ltd and Britannia Kitchen Ventilation Ltd operate in the commercial catering equipment sector. Lincat Group company Mercury Appliances Ltd designs and manufactures domestic cooking appliances.
