Ann's House

A large guesthouse run by a mother and daughter team in the major tourist centre of Canterbury has been put on the market with an asking price of £875,000.

Ann’s House is located in the St Dunstans district of the ancient city of Canterbury and is a 20-minute walk from the city centre and cathedral.

The business enjoys a high level of business from tourists attracted to the world heritage site, which draws large numbers of foreign visitors. It is also ideally located to access the Kent countryside and coastline.

The semi-detached period property, believed to date back to 1850, offers 19 bedrooms across three floors, a guest lounge and a spacious, 44-seat dining room.

Owners’ accommodation on the ground floor comprises three bedrooms, a private lounge and kitchen facilities.

Owner Yvonne Dellaway, who has run the business with her daughter Lisa, has put the freehold on the market through the Maidstone office of Christie + Co

“Ann’s House trades as a long-established and well-known B&B operation with an English Tourist Council three-diamond rating,” said Simon Bland from Christie + Co in Maidstone.

“It is open all year round and offers an excellent opportunity to take over one of the largest and best-located guesthouses in one of the country’s leading tourist destinations.”
