Japanese noodle chain Wagamama has confirmed it will open its first American restaurant in Boston in April of next year.
Located in the historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the 133-seater property has additional seating for a further 50 outside.
The leasehold site is due to open next spring after a £1m fit-out.
Wagamama also plans to open another site at Boston’s Harvard Square Galleria next summer.
Steve Hill, Wagamama chief executive, said: “If we can make it work in a second city, then we’ll have everything in place to make a go of it nationally.”
Wagamama currently has 65 restaurants, 43 of which are in the UK. A further three are set for this year in Newcastle, Bath and Earls Court, London.
