Sara Edwards, vice-president of human resources at the Maybourne Group, is leaving the Claridge’s and Connaught owner after eight years, it was confirmed today.
The move, revealed on Kitchen Rat yesterday, will see Edwards joining luxury department store Liberty as HR and change director on 1 January 2008.
Under Edwards' guidance, the Maybourne Group was nominated as a top 50 workplace by the Financial Times and this year won a HCPTA training award, while she herself is in the shortlist for the HR manager award at the Hotel Cateys.
Liberty chief executive Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye said: "I am delighted we have been able to attract such a talented and dynamic executive to the Liberty team.
"Sara's appointment forms part of a strategy to make the Liberty brand synonymous with excellent service and luxury."
