Pub giant Punch Taverns has bought Eighty Queen Street, a well-known café bar in Edinburgh for an undisclosed sum.
Previously known as the Drum & Monkey, the café bar was set up in November 2001 by Howard and Pamela Fowler.
The site has two distinct bars inside with the main ground floor bar and restaurant offering traditional cuisine, and a cellar bar available for private dining and Jazz at the weekend.
Neil Findlay, Punch acquisitions manager for Scotland, said: “Eighty Queen Street presents a fantastic opportunity for Punch Taverns to grow their estate in one of the most exciting licenced circuits in Scotland.”
The sale was handled by the Edinburgh office of property company Christie + Co.
