Cheryl Cole gives Coworth Park the X Factor

Coworth Park - the new country house hotel from the Dorchester Collection - gained a nationwide audience at the weekend with an appearance from Cheryl Cole on ITV's X Factor.

Cole was seen with Will.I.Am from Black Eye Peas selecting the females to go through to the live finals, which will be screened from next weekend.

Shots of the setting and interiors of the 70-bedroom hotel, which opened only a week ago, were shown extensively at prime viewing time on both Saturday and Sunday evenings

A spokeswoman for Coworth Park said the filming took place prior to the hotel's opening. "Being featured on the programme has created a fantastic buzz showcasing the hotel's beautiful meadow and public areas to a wide UK audience," she said. "It's certainly got everybody talking."

Mark Boustead, publicity manager, for ITV said the X Factor was keen to use the venue because of its stunning interior and vast grounds in which it could film.

"The team ensured a very quick turn-around, we finished on schedule and were very happy with the outcome," he said.
