Industry data: Budget hotels in the UK 2006

By August 2006, there were in excess of 1,114 budget hotels in the UK with a total of more than 76,478 bedrooms. The market remains dominated by two major brands - Premier Travel Inn and Travelodge.

These facts and figures are reported in British Hospitality: Trends and Statistics 2006, published by the British Hospitality Association.
