The Bingham hotel in Richmond scored a double whammy at last night’s BT Visit London Awards, winning gold in both the Small Hotel/B&B of the Year and Best Gastronomic Experience for its restaurant.

The Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane was awarded gold in the Large Hotel of the Year category, with the neighbouring InterContinental London Park Lane taking silver and the Athenaeum in Green Park taking Bronze.

The Cavendish hotel was also a double-award winner, taking gold for Outstanding Customer Service and bronze in the Sustainable Tourism category.

The Colonnade hotel in Little Venice scored silver and SACO Holborn, serviced apartments opposite Great Ormond Street Hospital, was awarded bronze for the small hotel category.

Silver and bronze in the Best Gastronomic Experience category went to Paternoster Chop House near St Paul’s Cathedral and Vinopolis, London Bridge respectively.

The event took place last night at Westfield London, which celebrated its first birthday last month. Last year the awards took place at the Royal Albert Hall.
