The House of Commons wishes to invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies, in the opportunity to develop, fit out and operate a takeaway, made to order, sandwich and coffee outlet within the palace of Westminster.
The outlet will operate in a competitive environment to provide a new service for members of parliament, staff, contractors and others working within this secure premises of the Parliamentary Estate. A wide range of other catering services are provided by the in-house House of Commons Catering & Retails service and the House of Lords refreshment Department. It is expected that the new outlet will operate Mondays-Fridays throughout the year, although potential operators should note that the volumes of business that the volumes of business are likely to be significantly reduced during Parliamentary recesses.
