Stellar line-up of international chefs announced for Identità London 2010

Italian chef congress Identità London will return to the capital this summer, with a stellar line up of internationally acclaimed chefs.

Set to take place at Vinopolis near London Bridge from 7-8 June, Identità London is based on the renowned Milan event, Identità Golose, and was first launched last summer.

This year’s two-day gastronomic congress will be focused on “The Luxury of Simplicity” and will look at lesser known seasonal ingredients. It will feature cookery demonstrations and masterclasses by renowned chefs from across the world including Italy, Britain, France, USA and Hong Kong.  

Identità founder and Italian food editor Paolo Marchi said: “After the astounding success of Identità London 2009 - the first Identità venture outside Italy – I’m delighted that chefs from New York to Hong Kong are joining us to celebrate this year’s theme, The Luxury of Simplicity.

“This of course will be underpinned by the core spirit of the congress - as an ambassadorial platform to promote the depth and diversity of Italian cuisine beyond its association with pizza and pasta.”

Ashley Palmer-Watts (The Fat Duck, Bray)
Sat Bains (Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms, Nottingham)
Jason Atherton (Maze, London)
Heinz Beck (Apsley, London & La Pergola, Rome)

Italian chefs:
Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana. Modena)
Gennaro Esposito (Torre del Saracino, Naples)
Davide Scabin (Combal Zero, Turin)
Niko Romito (Reale, L’Aquila)
