Operator sought for planned 80-bedroom hotel in St Andrews
A hotel operator is being sought for an 80-bedroom property which is planned for St Andrews in Fife.
Property developer Knightsbridge has submitted a master plan to Fife Council to develop an 80-bedroom hotel at Abbey Park House, a Grade B-listed property which was previously used as student accommodation for nearby St Leonard's School.
The council is supportive of Knightsbridge's plans which will involve the addition of a new wing to the property to create 35,000square feet of space within an area of 1.98acres.
Ken Sims of Christie + Co, which is marketing the development, said: "This is a unique opportunity for an international or national operator looking to establish a new hotel in one of the prime locations on the East Coast of Scotland, in one of the country's most famous and vibrant towns."
