Hotel for sale after losing Michelin star
Overton Grange, the hotel in Ludlow, Shropshire, that lost its Michelin star earlier this year, is for sale.
The 14-bedroom hotel, a former Caterer Adopted Business, is owned by Christine Ward.
She described the sale as a "delicate matter" and added: "I am not prepared to say why I am selling it. It is a private matter, and that is all I want to say."
French chef Claude Bosi earned the hotel its Michelin star in 1999. He left last year to open his own restaurant, Hibiscus, also in Ludlow. He was replaced at Overton Grange by Wayne Vickerage, former head chef at Nunsmere Hall in Northwich, Cheshire.
Hibiscus earned its first Michelin star this year, on the day Overton Grange was downgraded.
Overton Grange is being sold through agent Knight Frank.
