New BBC telly show looks for budding restaurateurs

Budding restaurateurs are being invited to take part in a new BBC 2 TV series, which will see nine couples set up and run their own eateries.

The Restaurant

will see contestants create their perfect restaurant and open the doors to the paying public, with one duo voted off the show each week.

Challenging the couples and judging the success of their concepts will be Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc.

The winning team will be supported by Blanc who will stump up a six-figure sum of his own money to back their business.
