Von Essen hotels has appointed Sally Strang as marketing manager for Hotel Verta in London.
Strang joins von Essen with more than 25 years' experience in the hotel, aviation and hospitality industries. Her previous involvement in hotels across various sales and marketing roles have included Westin, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Edwardian and Thistle Hotels.
She has also represented individual five-star hotels in the UK including the Waldorf Towers and The Plaza Hotel in New York.
Hotel Verta is scheduled to open in September 2010 and will be the first integrated hotel/heliport in Europe.
