Kellogg’s today announced a product withdrawal on its Crunchy Nut range after receiving complaints from consumers over an “unusual taste”.

In a statement issued to foodservice companies, the cereal manufacturer said: “The product is not harmful to consumers.

“In the unlikely event that you experience an unusual taste from packs of Crunchy Nut cereal with best before dates 21 June 2008 to 31 July 2008 and Crunchy Nut Twinpot with best before dates 4 September 2007, 19 September 2007, 15 October 2007 or 15 November 2007, and you feel you need to return the product, you should return this to your wholesaler in line with their returns procedure.”

No other Kellogg products are involved.  Crunchy Nut products not affected include Crunchy Nut Clusters and Crunchy Nut snack bars.

Kellogg’s can be contacted between 9am and 6pm on 0800 783 6676.
