Lindley scoops £5m catering contract with Chepstow Racecourse

The Lindley Group has been awarded a £5m contract with Chepstow Racecourse & Conference Centre to manage its public and corporate hospitality catering service.

The five-year deal will see Lindley provide the catering services for the 100,000 race-goers who attend the 29 race meetings held at Chepstow each year.

Chepstow is one of 10 racecourses operated by the Northern Racing Group and the fifth to appoint Lindley to manage its catering, alongside Bath, Great Yarmouth, Hereford and Ffos Las which was announced on Caterersearch.com last month.

In addition, Lindley will be responsible for the Chepstow’s growing conference, banqueting and wedding business.

Peter Holland, Chepstow general manager, said: “The Lindley Group has established a good reputation within the Northern Racing Group as they already manage the catering operations at Northern Racing Group’s Hereford, Great Yarmouth and Bath racecourses, and have also just been awarded the contract for Ffos Las.”

Lindley will provide a fine dining service in the 300-cover Silks restaurant as well as offering a selection of light snacks and hot dishes in the two public bars in the Premier and the Grandstand & Paddock enclosures.
