Dunblane Doubletree by Hilton hires Nick Nairn as F&B consultant
Celebrity chef Nick Nairn has taken up a new role as consultant for food and beverages at Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro.
Nairn, who recently shelved his plans for a second cookery school, will work with the hotel's team to create a new and unique range of eating experiences throughout the hotel as well as creating a new destination signature restaurant, which is due to open by December.
The hotel has recently been transformed by a £12 million refurbishment and officially becomes a Doubletree in September 09.
Tricia Fitzsimons, general manager, said: "This is a fantastic coup for the hotel and we are delighted to be working with Nick. Nick's passion, experience and vision made him the perfect partner for the hotel. We have lots of plans in the pipeline at the moment and will be able to confirm more details about the offering closer to the time."
Nairn added: "This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the world's leading hotel groups and deliver a first-class restaurant offering for its discerning guests. The restaurant will focus on locally sourced fresh Scottish produce which offers healthy options to guests."
