The Brooklands hotel in Dodworth, South Yorkshire is to rebrand and join the InterContinental Hotel Group as a franchised Holiday Inn.
The hotel will retain its independent status, undergoing a £1.5m facelift which includes refurbishment of the bedrooms, reception area, conference facilities and restaurant.
The hotel is retaining all of its current staff and its restaurant will continue to be called Brooklands Restaurant.
Francis Hindle, general manager of Brooklands commented: “We are excited about the prospect of taking the hotel to another level. Holiday Inn will help put the hotel and Barnsley on a national and international platform, bringing new business to the town.”
The Brooklands rebrand comes into play in October and will form part of a broader global rebrand of Holiday Inn hotels aimed at ensuring consistency and an increased level of quality and service.
