Heath Cottage hotel

The three-star Heath Cottage hotel in Dewsbury has been sold off a £1.55m guide price to unnamed buyers.

Despite the change of ownership, the West Yorkshire property will continue to be run by the same management team.

The town hotel has a prominent position on the A638 and is close to both the M1 and the M62 motorways.

Accommodation includes 29 en-suite, individually-designed bedrooms to sleep 56 guests, along with a staff bedroom with shower and WC.

Other facilities include a 50-seat restaurant, a residents’ lounge, a traditional lounge bar with wood-surround fireplace and panelled bar counter, and a self-contained banqueting/conference suite for up to 90 delegates with a dance floor, a bar and toilet facilities.

The front garden with patio is popular for wedding photo and parking for up to 60 cars is available.

The hotel achieved adjusted trading profits of £147,455 on a net turnover of £653,317 in the year to 30 September 2007.

The freehold was sold through the Leeds office of Colliers Robert Barry.
