The Queen Mary 2, the largest, tallest, widest and costliest passenger ship ever built, is due to be named by the Queen today at Southampton. With 1,310 cabins, the Queen Mary 2 is the largest floating hotel in the world, catering for 2,620 guests. It was built at a cost of £550m and its maiden voyage from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale in Florida starts on Monday 12 January.
