West London bar and restaurant operator Jordan Swinscoe has added a fourth property to his portfolio with the purchase of a new lease on the Grove Park hotel in Chiswick.
He has renamed the London business in Grove Park Road the Old Stationhouse.
The detached three-storey property is located just off the A44 opposite Chiswick mainland station and near the River Thames.
It comprises a main bar with room for 100 customers and seating for 60 diners. An outside patio can hold another 100 people. Facilities include a four-bedroom manager’s flat and three-bedroom staff accommodation on the upper floors.
The Old Stationhouse will be managed by Bardi Berisha, the former manager of the Tom Conran Restaurants group’s Cow pub and restaurant in Notting Hill, which is regarded as a pioneer of the gastropub concept.
Swinscoe’s other venues include Priory House (a Mediterranean tapas restaurant) in Kensington, the Station House garden bar and restaurant in Notting Hill, and Westbourne House cocktail lounge in Westbourne Grove.
The Enfield office of Christie + Co sold Swinscoe a new lease from Punch Taverns off an asking price of a £50,000 premium and annual rent of £53,000.
It is one of the last of 650 former Spirit managed pubs to be taken to the leased market on behalf of Punch.
