Budget hotel chain Travelodge has exchanged contracts on a new £3m hotel development in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
The 50-room hotel will be located on the A36 into Salisbury, less than a mile from the city centre.
Tony O’Brien, Travelodge’s development director, said: “We are very excited about this new site. The hotel is situated in an ideal location and will undoubtedly attract high numbers of business and leisure visitors.
A planning application will shortly be submitted to Salisbury District Council and construction, led by Salmon Harvester, will take around 40 weeks to complete.
Travelodge aims to open 3,000 rooms in 2007 and a further 3,000 a year until 2010.
