Gérard SintèsGérard Sintès is to succeed Luis Marcó as general manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona with effect from 1 April 2010.

Marcó is retiring after a 45-year career in the hospitality industry.

Sintès, who has almost 30 years' experience in the global luxury hospitality industry, joins the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona from One & Only Cape Town where he was general manager and oversaw the hotel's opening in 2009.
