National Museums Liverpool is searching for a catering company to run the catering and hospitality contract for the newest landmark to appear on the city’s waterfront: the Museum of Liverpool.

The £72m Museum of Liverpool is the largest newly-built national museum in Britain for over a century. Expected to attract more than 750,000 visitors a year when it opens in 2010, it will be a free family visitor attraction complete with exceptional learning and community resources.

Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified, experienced companies who would like to be invited to tender for the catering and hospitality contract. There will be two spaces for cafe/restaurant facilities: one on the ground floor and the other on the first with stunning views across the Mersey. Separate contracts will be considered. This is a unique opportunity for dynamic, forward thinking and innovative catering companies who are suitably resourced to provide quality service in a world class venue. The museum is owned and managed by National Museums Liverpool.

To register your interest, receive an information pack and the pre-qualification questionnaire please email catering@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk. The deadline for expressions of interest is 31st May 2009. www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk.
