The Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) has appointed Jon Hewett as chairman.

Hewett, who is business development director at Restaurant Associates, formerly Compass Fine Dining, replaces former chairman Norman Deas.

A spokes woman for ACE said: “One of Hewett’s first jobs will be to host the ACE conference on 21 June, which will include former Olympic athlete Roger Black, chef-proprietors Oliver Rowe and Michael Caines, and will be chaired by Chess Executive managing director Chris Sheppardson.”

ACE is the networking body for middle and senior management in the business and industry sector of the contract catering market.
