The Barilla Pasta Cooking System from the Parma-based pasta manufacturer aims to minimise the work of the counter operator in food service outlets. The freestanding unit has four infrared hobs for sauce preparation and four baskets for pasta and is designed for use with the manufacturer's frozen pasta and sauces to create pasta dishes in less than a minute. Sauces are available in 1kg packs and varieties include Tomato; Arrabbiata; Pesto; Mushroom; Cream, Ham and Pea; and Carbonara. Spaghetti, farfalle, pennette and tagliatelle pasta shapes come in 250g cubed portions.
