Hilton opens UK’s second Doubletree hotel in Aberdeen

Hilton has launched its first Doubletree-branded hotel in Scotland, marking the start of the brand’s expansion across Europe.

The 168-room Doubletree in Aberdeen is located on Beach Blvd next to the city's beachfront, and is less than a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
 
The hotel is operated by Patio Hotel (Aberdeen) under a franchise hotel agreement with Hilton.

The launch of the Doubletree in Aberdeen marks the start of an extensive expansion plan by Hilton in Scotland. During the next five years, the company aims to double its number of hotels north of the border from 11 to 22.

Simon Vincent, area president for Hilton in the UK and Ireland, said: “Doubletree by Hilton Aberdeen City Centre is a great hotel for the launch of the Doubletree brand into Scotland and marks the first step by the ‘Hilton Family of Hotels’ here.

“The brand is a great fit for owners who want the benefits of an affiliation without losing out on individuality.  We are aiming to have at least 20 Doubletree by Hilton hotels within the UK & Ireland in the next five to ten years alone." 

The brand recently opened its first Doubletree in Cambridge earlier this year and plans to open in Milan and London within the coming weeks.
