Robert Cook and Tony Dangerfield join board of De Vere Group
The De Vere Group has boosted its board with the appointment of Robert Cook and Tony Dangerfield.
Cook (pictured) joined the group in January this year as chief executive of De Vere Village Urban Resorts and in August, following the merger of the management of De Vere Hotels with that of De Vere Village Urban Resorts, became chief executive of the combined division. Prior to joining De Vere, he was chief executive of Malmaison and Hotel du Vin for eight years.
Dangerfield is chief executive of De Vere Venues, a provider of residential training and meetings, having joined the group in 2006 from his role as president Europe at Millennium Copthorne. He previously held senior executive roles with Marriott and Hilton International.
Andrew Coppel, group chief executive, said: "These appointments reflect the valuable contribution which Robert and Tony make to group performance and development. I am delighted that they have joined the board as we progress in growing the value of our brands."
