Jasper Gerard in the Telegraph finds The Pass restaurant at South Lodge hotel in Horsham, West Sussex, like most novelties, worth experiencing once.
Terry Durack describes TerraVina in the New Forest as a “class act”. He describes it as an ideal spot for any wine lover but suggests Gerard and Nina Basset’s haunt could be somewhat more relaxed in its approach, so everyone – not just the wine lovers – can enjoy themselves.
The Ellington hotel’s restaurant in Leeds is described by food critic Jay Rayner as a gem, although the limited wine list comes in for some stick.
