The pair are accused of staying at the Sundial Hotel and Windsor Guest House in Northallerton and the Gallery Guest House in Thirsk, as well as the Wellington Heifer pub at Ainderby Steeple and leaving without paying.
Gill is also accused of stealing £3,000 from the Wellington Heifer. They were both remanded in custody.
The offences were carried out last month and led North Yorkshire Police to warn hoteliers to be on their guard.
