Aramark to cut or modify 50 UK jobs

Aramark is to cut or change around 50 jobs in its UK business in the coming months, the company announced today.

The restructure will form part of plans by the caterer to reshape its field operations in a bid to "strengthen client relationship management" and eliminate inefficiencies to "improve cost competitiveness".

Aramark was keen to stress that today's announcement marked the start of a new strategic approach for the contract caterer, and the changes that will include around 50 roles being modified or ceasing to exist will be implemented over the coming months.

It also confirmed that it was committed to mitigating the number of jobs at risk, with activities such as retraining for redeployment.
