A Red Lentil Broth has joined Apetito's range of nutritionally balanced soups for the healthcare sector. Like other soups in the range, it's designed to supply energy and nutrition, with an above-average protein (4g) and calorie content (107) per 140g serving. The higher protein levels also give the soup a creamier texture, claims the company. Soups come in cases of two multi-portion packs, each containing enough soup for eight meals.
Apetito has also developed Nutriplan, a menu planning system for managing hospital patients' needs. It incorporates all Apetito products plus other menu items such as fruit, snacks and sandwiches. A software package enables dietitians to ensure each meal gives patients the nutrients needed to aid recovery. The system is linked to Apetito's Nutridata online resource.
