Springboard Olive Barnett Award 2007 open for entries

Springboard has launched the search for the 2007 Olive Barnett Award winner.

The competition, which aims to identify and support the talent of the future, is open to those under 30 on 21 March who are committed to a career in the hospitality, leisure or tourism sectors, working in a customer-facing role.

This year’s winner will be granted a place at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne’s hospitality management summer 2007 programme, as well as £3,000 of career development funding.

The award is judged in two stages, with a 500-word essay followed by a personal presentation of each finalist’s career aspirations.

The winner and two runners-up will be announced at a special event to be held on 21 May at the Langham hotel in London.
