Royal Leamington Spa's Restaurant 23 to reopen in new premises on Holly Walk
Restaurant 23 in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, is set to reopen this month following its relocation to new premises.
Currently located on Dormer Place, the restaurant will close on 11 February and reopen in its new location on Holly Walk, Hamilton Terrace, with a soft launch on 22 February.
The new restaurant will be spread over two floors in a Grade II-listed building comprising a 45-seat main dining room on the ground floor next to a 36-seat courtyard and two private dining spaces for eight and 14 guests respectively. On the first floor it will feature the brand-new 30-cover Morgan's cocktail and lounge bar.
Interiors are being developed by DesignLSM, who have been briefed to create a design that complements the original features of the building with contemporary elements, including chandeliers and French windows.
The menu will showcase seasonal and local produce in classic and modern dishes.
Chef-proprietor Peter Knibb, who first opened Restaurant 23 together with his wife, Antje, in 2006, said: "We are delighted for the reopening of the new location. It has been an ambitious move but we are thrilled to be working with a great design team to help achieve our goals. We are looking forward to opening - especially with the new addition of Morgan's Bar, and showing diners all that we have to offer".
Knibb previously worked at Claridge's hotel restaurant under John Williams, with Paul Rhodes at Chez Nico and with Jun Tanaka at Pearl Restaurant, all in London.
