The Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards calls for entries for ‘Young Talent' award

The Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards are calling on young professionals to enter the ‘Young Talent' award.

Organised by Scotland Food & Drink and The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and sponsored by ASDA, the awards recognise outstanding achievement within the sector, showcasing the best of Scotland's products and businesses.

The Young Talent category recognising the swathe of committed young professionals working across the industry, from chefs to sommeliers and retail managers to manufacturers.

Entrants to the category must be between the ages of 16-24 and can put themselves forward for this great chance for career development, or be nominated by fellow chefs, tutors and hotel and catering staff.

Applicants can enter the Scotland Food & Drink Young Talent Excellence award by downloading an entry form from www.scotlandfoodanddrink.org. The closing date for entries is 16 March 2012.
